Getting here

A special service of buses and mini-buses for XV-IMGTA will be organized
to connect Urbino with the airport of Ancona (100 Km from Urbino) and the
railway station of Pesaro (30 Km from Urbino).

 

by plane: The closest airport is in Ancona. There are several connections every day from the airport of Ancona and those of Roma Fiumicino, Milano Malpensa, Munich, Francoforte. It is possible to fly to Bologna Airport, and then take the train from Bologna to Pesaro (several connections, more frequent than one per hour, time required about 1 hour and 40 minutes). Flights to the airports of Ancona or Rimini, followed by train or car journey  by train: Pesaro station, followed by bus or car journey.  by bus: bus service available from Pesaro, Ancona, Rome, Arezzo and Fano  by car: A14 motorway: direction Canosa/Bologna >  Pesaro-Urbino exit > SS. 423 Urbinate  by sea: ferry service to the port of Ancona, tourist port of Pesaro or Fano, followed by bus or car journey

Dear Participant to XV IMGTA,
Please find, here below, some instructions about "how to get to Urbino".

* If you arrive at Bologna Airport or at Rimini airport, you have to reach the railway station by a bus (very quick connection, every 15 minutes in both cases) and then take a train to Pesaro. You can find the time table at the web page of Italian Railways

(you can choose among several languages, English, Spanish, German...).
>From Pesaro to Urbino there several buses (SOGET line, 50 minutes, see the time-table.
However, the last bus leaves at 8 PM, so if you plan to arrive at Pesaro Station after such a time, please inform us and we shall arrange a taxi service.

** If you arrive at Ancona airport, please inform us about your flight and arrival time, so that we can arrange a taxi service from Ancona to Urbino (about 1 hour).
At this stage, we are planning to organize taxi transfers leaving from Ancona airport on:

- 7 of July at 5.30 PM
- 8 of July at  5.30 PM and 9 PM

If you arrive at Rome Airport (Fiumicino), you have two possibilities:

 1) You find a national connection to fly from Rome to Ancona where you shall find a taxi       (according to the above statement)
 2)  You go from Fiumicino airport to Roma-Termini railway station by train (very quick and frequent connections) and then you take a train from Roma-Termini to Fossato di Vico-Gubbio station. This is the station closest to Urbino along the line Roma-Ancona. You can find the train time table at the web page of Italian Railways

We are planning to organize taxi transfers leaving from Fossato di Vico-Gubbio station on:

- 8 of July at  6 PM and 9.30 PM
