Urbino is a picturesque Renaissance hill town in the Marche region of
central Italy. Although Urbino was a Roman and medieval city, its peak
came during the 15th century when Duke Federico da Montefeltro
established one of Europe's most illustrious courts. Its impressive
Ducal Palace houses one of the most important collections of Renaissance
paintings in Italy. Urbino has a university founded in 1506 and is a
center for maiolica ceramics, art, and culture. Urbino's with its intact
renaissance architecture is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Urbino is in the northern part of
central Italy's Marche Region, one of the more remote and least touristic regions of Italy. Urbino is about 30km from the Adriatic

refurbished International Visitor's Residence (Foresteria) which is located in the city centre of Urbino.

person) for a double room (breakfast included).
Additional
single rooms are available also at the older University Residence
buildings, which are located outside the city centre (15 minutes on foot, 5 minutes by bus).

The
Train Station is in PESARO, then you can reach URBINO by bus or by taxi
(time required approx 60 minutes.).

A14 Motorway: direction Canosa/Bologna > Pesaro-Urbino exit

PLANE
The closest airport is in ANCONA.
However, you can fly to RIMINI Airport or to BOLOGNA Airport and then
take the train from the chosen Airport to PESARO. In both cases you can
reach the railway station (from RIMINI Airport or from BOLOGNA Airport)
by bus.

If you arrive at ROMA Airport (Fiumicino), go from Fiumicino Airport to
ROMA-Termini Railway Station by train (very quick and frequent
